About the Blogger

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ava Wentworth and this is my first journalism related blog. I am from New Jersey, born and raised, and I absolutely love it there. I try and go home as much as I can, but being here in High Point poses a problem since flights are so expensive! However, I love my family and I am a very family oriented person. My mom and dad are my biggest supporters and an amazing support system. I have a younger brother, 17, who is my best friend. I love all the close friends I have made here, especially the family I have made in Alpha Chi Omega. Some of my hobbies include keeping busy! I love to travel and explore new places, I love to go to work (I am a cashier) and doing work! I do prefer the warm weather, which is why HPU appealed so much to me and I love it here. By the end of my college career, I just hope to have a great job lined up that I love, and to have traveled to new places with the people that mean the most to me! I also love animals.

About the Blog

Since this is my first journalism blog, I will be using it to keep track of all of the pieces I create and things I have read. I want to be involved in some kind of journalism after HPU, and I love to write and read. Hopefully this blog will be somewhere you can come to in order to read pieces I have written or browse things I find fascinating in the world of journalism. Additionally, this blog will be a place where I can write about whatever I find interesting in a new way that speaks more to the style journalists are held to.
